Welcome to Awake Parent. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Awake Parent mobile application ("App") and related services ("Services"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Awake Parent, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting.

2. Description of Service

Awake Parent is a conscious parenting application that offers tools for self-awareness, emotional regulation, and deeper connection with your child. The App uses local storage to protect your privacy while providing personalized reflections, scenarios, and journaling.

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the rights of others
• Transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

5. Medical & Psychological Disclaimer

• Not Medical Advice. The content provided by Awake Parent, including but not limited to AI-generated reflections, guided meditations, and "Awareness" prompts, is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• Not a Crisis Service. Awake Parent is not designed to assist with psychological emergencies or crisis situations. If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm, suicide, or are in a situation involving domestic violence or child abuse, please stop using the app immediately and contact your local emergency services or a crisis hotline (e.g., 988 in the US/Canada, 111 in the UK)
• Parental Responsibility. Our "Conscious Parenting" guidance is intended to support the parent's emotional well-being and self-awareness. It does not replace professional pediatric care or child psychological intervention. Decisions regarding your child’s health and safety should always be made in consultation with qualified professionals
• Limitation of Liability. By using this app, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own mental health and parenting choices. Awake Parent shall not be held liable for any outcomes resulting from the application of the perspectives or reflections shared within the app

6. Privacy and Data

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our express written permission.

8. In-App Purchases

Awake Parent may offer in-app purchases for features or content. All purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law. Prices are subject to change without notice.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
